A real start, not just a certificate
CEIRD goes beyond training. Qualifying graduates and beneficiaries receive agricultural production inputs to help them set up their own enterprises — a support package worth approximately R30,000 per person.
R30,000 per beneficiary
Each follow-up support package is valued at approximately R30,000.
Follow-up mentorship
Ongoing guidance after course completion — not a hand-off.
Production inputs
Real seed, feed, vaccines and equipment — not just paperwork.
Mechanisation access
Tractor and equipment training to operate at production scale.
What goes into a poultry start-up package
Each beneficiary who completes training in poultry receives a follow-up package designed to take them from day-one to first harvest. Roughly R30,000 worth of inputs, ready to use.
- 100 day-old chicks
- Starter, finisher & post-finisher feed
- Drinkers, feeders & bedding
- Vaccines, vitamins & supplements
- Disinfectant (Virukill)
- Crate & infrared brooder light

We support graduates well past the certificate
A certificate doesn’t pay for chicks or feed. That’s why CEIRD provides production inputs and mentorship after training — so graduates can actually run an operation, not just describe one.
“The R30,000 input package was the difference. I came out of training, set up my chicken house, and was at market within months.”
